Last night was a fun installment of Pencils4Tea. We had a load of footy-adjacent songs due to the footy being on. I went back to the old trusty pencil-on-paper for a change of pace. I felt precious about wasting paper though! Sometimes when I’m drawing people, I have moments of, ‘Oh THIS is what I can and like to do!’. I’d love to feel this more often </3 What beautiful models we had. I love this (completely free!!!) event and hope that one day if I get called on to model for a song, I won’t be too scared.
It’s a bonus post with two different pencils4tea sessions! I was a bit worried I’d lost this file completely but found it just before I had given up completely. I wasn’t too happy with my drawings from this session (from over a month ago), but actually looking at them now there are a few I really love.
Below are the drawings all piled on top of each other in contrived compositions. I’m really enjoying doing this when I’ve drawn digitally – creating funny narratives like a cheesy classic film poster.
So much thanks to Kirsty Lockhart for hosting this every week. It’s a gorgeous boost.
