shop // an siopa

I have a shop now! You can find it at hannahmccann.bigcartel.com

Part one of my comic about St Brigid!

This is a story about a saint who was really a goddess, about why she matters today, or perhaps how we can make her matter. It is really an auto-biographical memoir comic about some of my own experiences of re-connecting with this saint – who is an important character in my childhood and in my Northern Irish home – in the midst of the fight for abortion rights and abortion access on the island of Ireland. This story is about my finding political connection and meaning from my homeland, something that has meant a lot to me as someone who moved to England to start my adult life 15 years ago.

It is printed in two colour riso – black and green riso inner pages (Evercolour cream 80gsm), with a black and metallic gold spot colour on the cover (Ecokraft 100gsm) – at Footprint Workers Cooperative. I love how the materials have brought my drawings to life!

Cryptids of Leeds

The very first item on my online shop <3 you can now purchase the very first Leeds Comics Collective anthology, Cryptids of Leeds!

With an amazing cover by the outrageously talented Anna Readman, compiling and intro comic from Jack Fallows, and so many other extremely cool comics fiends, I am so proud to show off my first ever contribution to a comics anthology.

Be amazed and spooked by the creepy and arcane stories of Leeds’ mysterious underworlds. My contribution, Otley Motley Blobly, can also be read here.

Sleepy Riso Print

I also have a print for sale!

This was the illustration I made for the Footprint 2024 calendar, now available as a slightly-smaller-than-A5 print. On off white recycled 130gsm paper stock.

All this shop lark is a bit new to me, but if you have any questions at all about the things for sale, just drop me a message on the contact form.
