Diary comic

Funny couple of days. I got my first rejection letter from my first Arts Council funding application (boo), and our boiler got decommissioned / declared too dangerous to use. Amazingly the new one was installed today, so I am not too stinky tonight. And I have been trying to re-start my new funding application. Because that’s what you do, according to any artist talk I’ve been to, particularly recent ones from CCIC, KEEP ON APPLYING! But re-starting the application hasn’t been plain sailing, unfortunately. I sketched a comic to amuse myself while I waited for my clicks to have any effect whatsoever, and finalised it this evening while tuning into an interesting zoom broadcast from Harvard! The world of tomorrow, today!

The talk was with A. David Lewis, whose work I will definitely be checking out in future 🙂 It was to present his new book and discuss the meeting points of Graphic Religion and Graphic Medicine – of particular interest to me!

I’m getting too sleepy to write well at all, so here’s my overly dramatic comic. It looks funny because I finally decided to try out the noise filter on CSP designed to trouble AI. I wonder if it works… cos I’m not sure how into the petrol-polluted puddle aesthetic I am…

(it turns out Grantium works just fine on Chrome… no DuckDuckGo or even Edge for me…)
